This article walks you through the core navigation elements in KEBS: how to open and browse the app menu, switch between view modes, search for any module instantly, and personalize your sidebar color. By the end, you will be able to move around the platform with confidence from day one.
Browsing Apps by Category
Understand how KEBS organizes its modules by functional area, making it easier to discover related apps you may not have explored yet.
By default the app menu shows a flat list. You can switch to a categorized view that groups modules under their business function such as Sales, HR, CRM, and Project Management.
- 1Open the app menu by clicking the grid icon in the top-left corner.
- 2Click the list icon (three horizontal lines) near the top of the panel. A tooltip reading “Apps by categories” confirms you are hovering over the right control.
- 3The panel reorganizes to show modules grouped under category headings: Sales, HR, Admin, CRM, and Project Management.
- 4Click any module within a category to open it directly.
| Category | Modules included |
|---|---|
| Sales | Accounts, Contacts |
| HR | Employee Directory, My Profile, Organization Structure, People Allocation |
| Admin | KEBS Support |
| CRM | Opportunities V2 |
| Project Management | Projects |
Using Global Search
Reach any module in a few keystrokes without scrolling through the full app list, saving time during fast-paced workdays.
KEBS includes a built-in search bar at the top of the app menu that filters modules in real time as you type. You do not need to know the exact spelling or category.
- 1Open the app menu by clicking the grid icon in the top-left corner.
- 2Click inside the Search apps field at the top of the panel. The field highlights with a red border to confirm it is active.
- 3Begin typing the module name. The list filters instantly to show only matching results. For example, typing “acco” immediately surfaces the Accounts module.
- 4Click the matching module name to open it. To clear the search and return to the full list, click the X icon inside the search field.
Customizing the Sidebar Color
Make the interface your own by selecting a sidebar color that suits your preference, with the change saved to your profile across sessions.
KEBS lets each user independently choose a sidebar color from a palette of nine preset options. You can also control whether the sidebar shows the app name alongside the icon, or just the icon alone for a more compact look.
- 1Open the app menu by clicking the grid icon in the top-left corner.
- 2Click the palette icon near the top of the panel. A tooltip reading “Customize” appears when you hover over it.
- 3The panel switches to the Sidebar color screen, displaying a grid of nine color circles.
- 4Click any color circle to apply it. The sidebar updates immediately so you can preview the change in real time. A green checkmark appears on the currently active color.
- 5Below the color grid, choose your preferred display mode: tick Show app name and icon to see labels alongside icons, or tick Show icon alone for a minimal compact view.
- Dark grey (default): the standard KEBS sidebar theme selected out of the box
- Red, Navy, Dark green, Teal, Black, Dark red, Brown, Mauve: eight alternative themes available to all users
