This article explains how to navigate, filter, customise, open, and create accounts from the Accounts List in KEBS. Every project, invoice, agreement, and stakeholder anchors to an account, making this module the foundation of your entire Quote-to-Cash workflow.
What is the Accounts List?
Instead of maintaining separate spreadsheets or CRM views for customers vs. partners, the Accounts List gives every team, sales, delivery, finance, and leadership, a single authoritative source. Everyone works from the same data, eliminating version-control issues and outdated information.
The Accounts List is your organisation’s complete customer and partner directory within KEBS. Two tabs at the top segment your portfolio: Customer (revenue-generating accounts) and Partner (collaborative or reseller relationships). The total count badge gives an immediate portfolio snapshot.
What you see in the list
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| ID | System-generated unique account identifier (e.g. #AC31041185). |
| Customer Code | Short alphanumeric code (e.g. NXGD), used in project codes and financial references. |
| Account Name | The full name of the customer or partner. |
| Legal Entity | Your organisation’s legal entity contracted with this account (e.g. India, UK, or North America entity). |
| Region | Geographic region, used for segmentation and regional reporting. |
| Fav (★) | Star icon to pin favourite accounts to the top of your personal view. |
| Strategic Account Tier | Platinum / Gold / Silver / Bronze, flags strategic priority for executive attention and resource allocation. |
| Actions | Quick-view and edit icons revealed on hover. |
Filtering Accounts
Instead of exporting to a spreadsheet to slice your data, filters let your team create meaningful views on the fly, such as showing all Platinum accounts in North America owned by your team, in seconds. This enables faster QBR prep, more accurate pipeline reviews, and targeted outreach campaigns.
How to apply filters
- 1Click the Filter button in the toolbar above the account list.
- 2The Filter panel slides in from the right side of the screen.
- 3Select values for one or more filter criteria.
- 4The list updates in real time as you apply each filter, no Apply button needed.
- 5To clear filters, remove individual selections or click Reset to clear all at once.
Available filter criteria
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Region | Filter by geographic region (e.g. USA, Germany, India, APAC). |
| Legal Entity | Show only accounts contracted under a specific entity. |
| Strategic Account Tier | Filter by Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze. |
| Account Owner | View accounts managed by a specific Account Manager. |
| Business Unit | Filter by the internal practice or BU responsible. |
| Industry | Segment by customer industry vertical. |
| MSA Status | Active / Expired / Pending, a fast way to spot contract risk. |
Customising Columns
A personalised column view means each team member sees the data relevant to their role, with no scrolling past irrelevant columns. This reduces cognitive load, speeds up list scanning, and makes the Accounts List genuinely useful for everyone.
How to customise columns
- 1Click Customize in the toolbar above the list.
- 2Select Alter Columns to open the column configuration panel.
- 3Toggle columns on or off using the switches.
- 4Drag the handle to reorder columns.
- 5Your preferences save automatically and persist across sessions and devices.
Opening an Account
The Account detail view brings together everything relevant to a relationship in one place, eliminating module-hopping before a customer call, a QBR, or an escalation conversation.
How to open an account
- 1Navigate to Accounts in the left sidebar.
- 2Find the account using search, filters, or sorting.
- 3Click the account name to open the full detail view.
- 4Use the tabs across the top of the detail view to navigate between sections.
What you will find in the detail view
| Tab / Section | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Overview | Core account info: name, code, persona, legal entity, tier, owner, industry. |
| Account Team | Internal and external stakeholders assigned to the account. |
| Agreement | MSA, NDA, and GDPR agreement status with expiry tracking. |
| Address | All addresses on file, including the billing address that flows to invoices. |
| Notes | Shared team notes capturing meeting outcomes and relationship context. |
| Projects | All projects linked to this account across all stages. |
| Account Financials | Payment terms, billing contact, PO requirement, financial identifiers. |
| Audit Log | A full, timestamped record of every change made to this account. |
Creating an Account
Creating the account correctly at the start, with the right legal entity, persona, tier, and owner, ensures every downstream record is accurately attributed. Finance raises invoices on the right entity, delivery allocates resources, and leadership tracks account health without retroactive data clean-up.
How to create an account
- 1Click the global + Create button in the top navigation bar.
- 2Select New Account from the dropdown menu.
- 3Fill in the required fields in the Create Account form, including Account Name, Customer Code, Persona, Legal Entity, Business Unit, and Account Owner.
- 4Click Save. The account is created and opens in the detail view immediately.
